As that part is pushed into the hole in the lower case I'd expect it to move out when the clutch cover is off.
They all do it. ...............lm

Here is a link to a video of it. Should be easier than me typing it out.

worn parts

Any photos available that may show when a fork or drum and or roller is worn too much so I know what I am looking for.

Any images of a new fork?I know when I split the cases in an attempt to find the problem I checked the rollers and they did not jump out to me as being worn or damaged to badly. The shift drum seemed ok and no chips or unusual marks .Forks were worn on the face.Only those were a question mark to me.Where is the best source these days for forks and rollers?

The shift drum wears in the slot at the end with the poky thing.
It wears where the point is in the slot and the roller wears on half of its surface.
Forks wear at the pads on the ends and usually will be bad when the wear is about 10th or more.
They don't always wear on both sides of the pads. .....................lm
