electric starter issue

I assume you mean the rotor. These bikes don't have magnetos. Use the search function for "rotor puller" and you'll find plenty of info. Good luck.

I have the correct size bolt that will pull your rotor. $5.00 shipping included. Mike

It's an M16 x 1.5 pitch bolt, I believe.

I'm used to working on bikes from the 80s on up. So, apologies for the terminology faux pas. First time on the Dream. It's all Original and unrestored. Not bad but a little rough. Most of it's life was spent near Pittsburgh Penn and the salt had its way with the exhaust and that was replaced.
My friend inherited it from his Father.

Very easy bike to work on though! And more parts are available then for my 88 Honda HawkGT!

I went to an 'Autozone' they had a rack of replacement oil drain plugs, look for the correct thread size.

Thanks to Mike, I got the bolt needed to remove the rotor and did so today. Some pics to assist with anyone having this issue in the future.

Bolt goes in here :)

I had to raise the bike up a bit and brace the rear wheel. The raising part was to get it in gear.

Turn the bolt in just a bit. It didn't take much and it pulls loose. Then just comes off. The little piece came out immediately. Part of the starter clutch assembly.

I had one out of the three sections in tact.

Remove the three big screws to separate the rotor from the starter clutch.

Then separate. I had used some PB Blaster to help loosen the screws.

Tim from Classic Honda Restoration fulfilled my order quickly! Here's the starter clutch rebuild kit as it arrives from the Post.
