New Dream
New DreamHi guys.
Just picked up a 65 Honda Dream CA77 in black / silver. This is my first motorcycle. I fixed up a '65 Vespa and learned a lot but felt ready to take on a bigger bike. I'm excited to get down to it. It's not in fantastic shape, but I think it may mostly be nitpicky stuff atleast initially. I gotta fix a caught throttle cable somewhere, replace the grip, clean the fuel system out and get a new battery and see if she'll pop. I'm certain I'll have to give the brakes attention too. Anyone have any advice for a beginner Honda Dream project? Favorite parts resources? As if I already didn't have enough going on in my life, now I gotta get this beast back to life. HA! Well the guy said it ran 2 years ago, and as I hear it, these bikes are like tanks, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses. Nice to meet you all. My name is Lesser, and I'm an artist in Baltimore. -L
DreamI actually went for an unusual deal trading in my 65 vespa for the 305 Dream and a Yamaha XS 400. Both will need attention, but my buddy and I are excited to get our hands dirty.
I'd say in the condition I left the vespa it was valued at about 2500, so the Yamaha was a freebie kinda. Below is the Yamaha XS 400 -L

Nice to see another old Honda in the Baltimore area. For parts and a good source of knowledge, you only have to go down the road a bit to Elkridge -- Classic Honda Restoration on Kit Kat Road, off Washington Blvd.
