2 Questions!
2 Questions!G'day From Australia
Can I ask 2 simple questions for a C72 (same as for CA72 of CA77), that I hope some people can answer in a bit of detail please: Petcock Rebuild: If I strip the fuel petcock for rebuilding, what do you use to reassemble the shaft to the top plate (the part I assume you have to drill out to separate the seals etc)? Shock Absorber Rebuild: Has anyone dis-assembled, rebuilt and reassembled a rear shock absorber (not the outer, but the actual oil filled damper)? Can this be done? OK, so for the purists this was 3 questions? Thanks Regards Muddy From Down Under Thanks.

Re: 2 Questions! These folks have a valve kit.
<http://www.olypen.com/retro/> The shock on the early issue should come apart. Tough ta get the top cover off without special (make your own) tools. Ya have ta compress the top cover to remove the top cover holders. The seals may be tough to find so unless ya need to I'd not remove the shaft from the shock bottom. . ......lm
PetcockThe little shaft on the "fuel cock plate" is fits snugly in the hole in the body and is held in place by the 4 spring arms on the other side of it. Make sure the shaft can go as far into the body as needed to seal everything or your petcock will leak. I give the bottom of it a mild tap with a small hammer to make sure it will go in as far as needed. You should not need to drill anything.
