Hey there. My '66 Dream will be on the road really shortly.

Is there a conversion to a modern tire size equivalent?

here are some crappy cell phone pics:

I found a set of 3.25 X 16 Goodyear tires @ Coker Tire in Chattanooga, Tn.

http://www.cokertire.com/

I'm putting a Ribbed on the front and a Grasshopper on the rear. When I chatted with the fella @ the shop they said they had a lot of them in stock.

That a sweet looking bike.

Does anyone know of new whitewalls being made, that will fit. I have heard similar bad things about the Cokers.

Has anyone here tried to make your own whitewalls? There are different kinds of tire paint available such as http://www.mbzponton.org/valueadded/other/tirepaint.htm
If it works well you can pick whatever tire you want and make it a whitewall and have the look and better handling.

I've not tried that but the results look good.

Oh and there is a period at the end of the URL that shouldn't be.

this should work:

I won't buy from Coker again. They sent me something different from what I ordered. I ordered a Goodyear ribbed and they sent me an old Yokohama - it has age cracks between the treads!! The Goodyear grasshopper was fine.

They offered free shipping on my next order...but come on...how can you sell me an old tire with rubber that's starting to get hard and cracked?
