Leaky Shifter Seal Update - Still Doing It!

Post by Dr. Frankenstein » Fri Nov 18, 2022 2:21 pm

This is just an update for my Leaky Shifter Seal post I made - what, two YEARS AGO?? Well, it's stil doing it, and I don't know why. Anybody have a shift-shaft they'd be willing to part with for the cost of shipping?

And is it me, or are very few people posting on here now?

Leaking at the OD or ID? Correct part number seal? Smooth side of seal facing outward? Burr on shaft? Tape on shaft splines when installing seal to prevent scarring the ID of the seal? Case cracked? Etc............

You’re quite right Frankenstein, very few posts these days. It hasn’t recovered from when the forum was swamped with spam. I hope it recovers as it was a great resource for information and advise.
