Got the vin number, over looked it due to rust around it and it not being a very deep stamping. I couldnt.read it all that well do I took an etching with a pencil and paper.
Any clues as to the year? The number is 1041378.
What manuals to get were my next.question. thanks!

Check my last post (just before this one). It tells you which manuals to purchase. You will find the "clues" to the year in them. They cover all years of the CL77s. Again, I say, they are the best purchase you can make for restoring your scrambler.
