Help ID'ing 2 CL77's? I searched and searched to no avail...

Hey Guys-

Just picked up a very rough CL77 at a swap today, and in my searching for parts bikes on c-list, got another very rough one. Not enough to make one yet, but a good start.

Neither has any paperwork, so just curious if someone can help decode them?

One "seems" to be candy red, red painted tank, fenders, etc-no silver, black frame. looks to be original. the other has definitely been painted numerous times and put out back to die.

Vin for red one: CL77-1045742
Vin for unknown: CL77-1038369

These are pretty rough, so may end up being parts bikes themselves- but i am excited to try, have always loved and wanted a 305 (had a 160 as a kid), so its kinda fun.

Thanks in advance! And, if anyone has a lead on a restorable seat, and some pipes (mine are long gone) , please send me a message or email! Thanks-

Erik in MN

Take off the gas tanks and look for a white tag on the right side on the wiring harness. Should have the year on it someplace.
