Figure its only right to show my progress. Sorry to anybody that likes to see these things restored to their glory days. Im putting my own twist on it.

From a barn.

DIY powdercoating from a close friend of mine. I paid $75 for tank, fenders, tool box.

Lots of degreasing 30 year old muck

Went BACK in a barn on my grandmothers property that was soon to be rented out for a year. I went back and got everything that wasnt engine related.

Had the cylinder head taken apart at a local shop. They told me to just get new valves and that it needed new seats cut. I spent 8 hours with gun bore solvent and my mitts. Cleaned all of the carbon and ground in new seats. Brought it back to the shop to ask the mechanic his opinion if they were usable. He complimented me on how it all looked, said it should work perfect.

Finally, I installed the new old stock pistons. Slightly oversized to fit a new bore that the shop had done for me.

Now I just need to reassemble the cylinder head. The shop must have lost the valve guide clips because EVERYTHING ELSE was there when I cataloged it for reassembly. About to put an order in. Rebuild it, dry fit and make sure I have everything else. Then hopefully when its all together I wont have any problems.
