HEAD LID breather hole orientation.

Post by CL77NOW » Mon Aug 01, 2011 6:01 pm

cl77 last mystery. 1966 actual ,
im putting on the lid
to the head.

my head has a top vent. type
a metal plate below
and 2 gaskest , one gasket is open one is solid. open goes lowest

the center plate has a vent hole x2
the center plate vent hole ,does it go to near external vent on lid or on other side far. front?
the solid gasket go up, i can see it with witness marks. ok.

i got all books but that is missing.

my guess is far from external vent, or front side, on the center plate hole.

any one consider this before.

cheers.

Solid gasket with the oval holes toward the exhaust to cover.
Metal plate the same.
Open gasket to top of head.
All the time. ...................lm
