cb77 superhawk repro mufflers david silver spares?

Post by Mark13018 » Thu Apr 10, 2014 7:51 pm

Hey guys, I was looking for a used set and came across the classichondarestorations.com pair but I don't really want to spend $1400 on them. Then came across the davidsilverspares.com page on this forum. I looked around and I thought I seen somewhere that the pricing on them was substantially less.

Problem is I can't find them on davidsilverspares site but the page and faq is still on this one.

Are they still available, does anyone know?

David Silver hasn't had pattern mufflers for quite some time. I bought a set about 6 years ago and think at that time they were between $800-$900.

They are considering having some more made. They sent an email to customers late last year asking for examples of original mufflers.

Not sure what the timescale is.

I have bought some good quality stainless reproductions from Overlander in Australia.

Do you have an image of the Dropbear pipes G-Man? Do they have baffles?

Hi Greg,

I have just bought a set of CB77 repro mufflers from Overlanders, they arrived yesterday but I haven't seen them yet as I'm away from home until tomorrow! I'll take some pictures and let you know what they're like when I get home. One thing I would say is don't expect to get them in a hurry if you do decide to order a set, they are made to order and it takes around 4-5 weeks. The prices on the website are out of date by the way (unless they've been updated recently) they cost me $760 (AUS dollars) plus shipping to UK.

I'll give you some more info tomorrow.

Steph.

Cheers Steph

Would appreciate that. Price is still reasonable if they are the goods.

Surprised they do not have photos on the site although if they are a small operation they probably dont have to chase a lot of work.

regards

Greg
