56_oval wrote:So unfortunately, my superhawk riding days were numbered. I was leaving the grocery store on the cb77 when a lady coming the opposite direction decided take a left right in front of me. I was only going abou 25mph, but that was enough. I had surgery on my shattered foot last Thursday night and will have another surgery on it tomorrow.
If anyone has any front end Parts they want to get rid off, let me know.

No sure about a list of parts, but I think I need everything from the tree forward.

So sorry to hear about the accident and resulting surgeries! I'd be concerned about the frame as well, as it looks like you had one hell of an impact.

So, I am finally being released today and get to go go home!! The bad news is I have 4 pins sticking out of my leg with carbon fiber and stainless hardware. Not too pretty. I won't get that stuff off for another two months and then I was told it would take about another 9-10 months to heal correctly.

I'll admit I have a little fear about getting back on a bike, but I guess a year downtime should remedy that. But if you guys see my bike for sale, don't hate me!

I anyone wants to see the leg pics, follow the link.

On the bright side, you'll have some cool bracket material after all is said and done!

Awwww! So sorry to hear (and see) about the idiot-event (lady who turned). And here in CA, May is Motorcycle month ... that's a good one.

Get well ... our thoughts are with you.

I'm finally getting the hawk ready again. The frame looks ok, so I'm replacing everything else on the front end. Got another set of forks, another tree, wheel and tire, headlight bucket and speedo, and new handlebars and levers.

I'm still unsure if I'll actually be able to ride cause I have a very limited range of motion in my left foot and I'm not sure if I'll be able to shift.

I'll get some more pics up soon.
