Problems after/before broken throttle cable.

I would check the timing again. That's the thing that was loose and it's a likely cause of bogging down.

Then maybe make sure you have full fuel from both taps on the petcock.

Then maybe check your plugs, one could be shot from the timing being off and too much gas.

I recently forgot to turn off the gas overnight on my 160 and it got really soaked and wouldn't start. The plugs looked fine, and then I changed them just to rule it out, and bam, it took off running and I was down the road.

I also had a carb with a choke curtain that would stick down, even when the lever was pushed down. So one carb was full choke and the other open. That was fun.
