Yes. TC at vintage_001. He usually has his stuff on eBay with a BiN and a Best Offer. I usually BO him about 60% of his BiN and he comes back with 70-80%. Some of these guys are (were) OK. I bought Union Cycle 18" rims & a set of chrome-plated spokes for $105 plus $50 shipping to me in Spain. Also a seat which, although quite lightweight, seems nicely put together and is much more comfortable than my old (rebuilt-but-original) Honda seat; that was $50 plus $45 shipping. And a Jap (Noboru) gasket set, all from TC. I'll be evaluating and reviewing all the items fully as I go about my rebuild.

Others there -- coealacanth, benlytheking and one or two others -- have really been hiking-up their prices. They don't get my money unless the item is reasonably-priced (BiN) or unless I win it on bids.

I have noticed a few of them starting to take the p155 over the past year or so; I even emailed one guy and made my opinion known to him. He thanked me and replied that he'd 'review his pricing policies'. I won't patronise those who are 'having a laugh'.

I did pay a lot of money -- $165 -- for a NOS starter/winker switch (r/h assy) for a CP-model. That was from Japan. And I really wanted it! But one seller had a NOS chromed CB toolkit up for $499, I think. When I told him he was 'taking my trousers down' he said he 'loved it like one of his family'........ Strait-jacket case, that one! Probably licks shop windows on his days off.

Well, I had to laugh when I seen you guys making fun of the froot loop on flea bay. Although I have to admit, I think I'm the only sucker he got to buy anything, I did buy the front fender. I desperately needed an early fender for my cb72 project, and the one he had was perfect uncut and only had one minor dent. Still had the original paint. I paid 125.00 with the free shipping, so I didn't think that was too far out of line, but the rest of his stuff must be layered with gold or something. He did however ship fast. Just thought you'd get a kick out of that! Nutt

Nutt, you 'pays your money and takes your choice'. And if you need (see 'want') something, then you pay what it's worth to you, mate. We've all been there, I'm sure! And, obviously, your need for a front fender had to be satisfied.

I definitely did not like motorcycleparts-inc's attitude towards complainers' comments to his BiN demands; his responses were tantamount to saying "^^ck you, buddy"! With that sort of attitude he should be 'blocked' himself from dealing with buyers, no matter how 'baited' he may have been. We can all vote with our silence here; don't buy from the numpty.

Watch this space, as they say.....

Happy Holiday Season to all (I don't believe in the 'C'-word -- Christmas = Commerciality = less disposable cash for projects). I'm off to UK to be with my kids & grandson; it's family that's important.

Hey, Good for you. $125 for a front fender is a good price, they're kinda scarce as hen's teeth.

Ya the guy was kind of a jack___ even just dealing with him after buying the fender, but like I said, I needed it and it was what I could afford, so I hated to screw up the deal by telling him off, but I've found in the past what comes around, goes around, so his day will come eventually!! nutt
