Early CB72 on Craigslist
I was in Bend Friday, should have stopped to have a peek. Looks nice but also has that bitsa look to it. Pinch bolt brake linkage, valley cover w/notch for breather hose. Speedo should be in the fork bridge without a high beam indicator. My '62 CB77 had the early style speedo drive(?). Black cables, seams to me I remember my '61 CB72 having only the rear brake cable black? Missing seat trim and so on. Previously mentioned plastic shock covers. Forks look correct, looks like the proper early damper. A little too bitsa to me for $8K

'61 CB92 '63 domestic CL72 Type 2 '63 CL72 '65 CL77 '66 CB77 '67 CB450D '71 SL350 '71 XS1B Bitsa bike, but aren't most of them now? 8K should get you a much better example, especially in todays market. hell 6K should get you a better one than this. on the other hand, this is a tough crowd to fool with (myself included) we're cheap (myself included) we have the parts/projects waiting (myself included) and our heads still have 1970's prices burned in. maybe this is what a 2017 bitsa cb72 is worth. If he gets it, there is your answer.
