kickstand clearance problemsRe: kickstand clearance problemswow. hmm. not sure. most likely wrong but i have a theory.

perhaps when you replace the tire, you can inspect the sprockets and count the chain links.

my misinformed best guess is the sprockets are not standard and someone shortened the chain to get it to fit, or a replacement chain missing a link. then they just moved the back tire as far forward as possible and it got in the spring.
Re: kickstand clearance problemsyeah who knows! i got the bike with no spring. So when i bought one and it didn't fit.. i was pretty pissed off. the rear axel is between the first and second marks on the swing arm.
Re: kickstand clearance problemsdammit! the sprocket has only 30 teeth while the original specs call for 32. That does mean that someone probalby shortened the chain. more money. so im assuming that a new chain and new sprocket will give me the clearance it needs.
Re: kickstand clearance problemscount the links, they might correct. (sorry, but i kinda doubt it)

and while i am feeling your pain on the money aspect, the diagnosis did make me feel a bit smarter.

but i of course don't guarrantee anything about clearance.
