kickstand clearance problemskickstand clearance problemsthere are a bunch of little things that i need to fix... which just drive me crazy.... this is one.

I bought a new spring for the kickstand because my bike was missing it when i got it. Whenever i put the kickstand up, it rubs against the tire. At first i thought it had something to do with the muffler that i put on (a megaphone). But i removed it and when the kickstand is fully up it still rubs against the tire. Now there are things that could be a problem.. for example the back tire is a 325 x 18 which is the wrong size. but i dont know if thats the problem. i just dont know what to do about this... help!!!
Re: kickstand clearance problemsWait a minuet! a325/18 is the right size! Most cb77 didn't come with a side stand (just center stand). The side stand was a dealer option. I guessing you have a side stand from somthing else. Or an improperly installed stand. Or you are really working on some brand X motorcycle and trying to make us believe you are really a CB77 owner just to take advantage of us good natured honda guys! Time to Fess-up! Steve Greer
Re: kickstand clearance problemsfrom the reading, there is a large debate on if the CB77 ever had a workable Honda OEM kick stand.

so it is understandable the problems you are having. i don't have a solution, so good luck.
Re: kickstand clearance problemsall i have is the center stand.. it came with the right kickstand but i took it off for right now.. im having trouble with the center stand.
Re: kickstand clearance problemsWoW, sumption is strange with that! is the center stand bent? I cant see the center stand rubbing the tire. Can you take a pic and post it here? I would like to see this! And if you dont need that side stand just send it to me!!! Steve Greer
Re: kickstand clearance problemsok.. ill take a pic tonite (if it stops raining.) Also the clymer Manual specs do call for a 3.00 x 18 in the back with a 2.75 x 18 tire for the front.
Re: kickstand clearance problemshers a pic.. and yes i know i need to replace that tire.. one thing at a time please
