Help with cleaning out tank and carbs.

Post by 3rdgear » Fri Jun 10, 2011 8:03 am

I am now the owner of 1967 SuperHawk, bought it yesterday. Bike is in excellent condition with one exception, it was parked in 1988 with a full tank of fuel and the petcock in the on position. Any advise on best way to clean out the tank and carbs would be much appreciate.

Welcome...

Here are some tank choices:

I ended up taking my tank to a radiator shop and they cleaned it out for $30.
Definitely worth the money for me.

There are several choices for carb cleaning also...do a search on this site.
