CB77 Factory Race Kit Options

Post by bill440cars » Thu Apr 20, 2006 9:29 am

I'm new here, just joined on the 19th or April, I've got a 63' CB77
that someone put a CA77 motor into. I don't see any sense in a restore
so, I hope to build it up with either a CB motor or more likely
reconfigure the CA motor to be a CB. So, I'd also be interested in
anything I can get on this also. If, it's not too much trouble to include me
on that info you guys have mentioned. Back about 68' I had a 66' CB72
that I worked over and built the motor some and could beat 305s. I
wasn't too fond of the engine hanging in the frame type of bikes until I
got that CB72 and now I'm fasinated by them. Other model Hondas I
have are: 62' CL72 (needs lots of work) a 74' CL450, 2-74'CB450s, a 76'
CB400F, a 73' CB500K, 2- CB550Ks (77' & 78') and an 80' CB750K (they
all need work of some kind. You see, I'm bad about picking up projects)

Some time back, pictures were posted on this site about the Factory Race Kit Options, I came in on this back in April of last year, asked to be included in the info and never got a response. I let it go for a while and then forgot about it. Well, I'm back on the subject and I'd still like to see these pictures and see any info that there is on this subject. Back in 68', I had a 66' CB72 that I worked over some what and also put a seat that I believe is a rare item now. There is a Black CB77 in the gallery with one just like it. It is made to come off of the upper rear of the gas tank, drops as it comes of of the tank, turns up at the rear and is flat at the back end. Sure wish I still had that bike, it looked good and was a good runner too. Now I have a 63' CB77 that somebody put a CA77 motor into. It's not really complete enough or in good enough shape for me to do a restoration on but, I do want to build it. If nothing else, would it be possible for someone to do something so I could at least see the pictures that were previously posted on this subject ? I would greatly appreciate it.

Those Racer Photos ...Here they are:

Perhaps the original poster can send more. I'd love to see them!

BTW, the bike was sold back in 2001 through honda305.com. It was listed in the Bikes For Sale section of honda305.com/marketplace...

Hey Michael & Kevin,

Thanks for posting those shots, they are awesome examples of the fine Super Hawk.
