How to get a key.

Post by mason123h » Wed Jun 20, 2012 4:56 pm

I am currently trying to restore a Honda model CA77, and before investing too much money I would like to get a key for it. I was given the bike for free and it didn't come with a key.
I have tried various Honda dealers and a locksmith. Both have nothing listed in the databases, and the codes on the key inserts do not bring anything up

A key is a necessity when owning a motorcycle, so I am in a pretty tight spot.

Thanks![/i]

Hi and welcome. Someone on this forum may have a key. Post the numbers of both the ignition and the steering lock if they are not the same. If you enter the approximate location of your whereabouts into your profile you will get more responses and may find somebody in your neighbourhood that may also have one or more of these old hondas and be of help. Post pictures if you can. We all love to see another Honda. :)

I have about 11 or so spares that came with a lot I had to buy in order to get the 1 I needed. Post or PM your codes and I'll see if I have a match.

There is a Co. on ebay that have brand new keys....I got 2 of them. Rigentinc cycle. Look to see if they list your Ign. switch # or contact them.. Mine were 8 bucks each.
In God we trust!.....Nothing like some breeze on the knees!
