First proper ride

Post by Lockers » Fri Feb 16, 2018 3:41 pm

Here's my new toy. I've covered it for two years, waiting patiently til my mate got sick of classics. It finally happened so with a day spent on carb cleaning, valve clearances and timing plus doing up a few loose bolts here we are. It's absolutely gorgeous. Smokes badly when opened up after the overrun so probably valve guides or seals (do they have seals?) and second gear is an acquired art. I can live with both those for this year. It's just great to be riding such a rare and oddball bike. Image

Lovely!

If you put that tank badge on the right way around it will go faster!

What year is it? The registration number suggests late 1964 and that matches the tubular handlebars & tank style.

Yes, it's a 64 and currently wearing two left hand badges! I must get a r/h one, or just take pics from the left in future ;)
