CA77 tires

Post by djohns » Thu Nov 15, 2007 6:50 pm

Parts book shows 2 different #'s for fr and rr tires (or tyres if you prefer). Coker has the 3.25x16 whitewall fr and lists a rr, but no pic. Anybody have any experiance here? I remember from long ago the fr was a straight ribbed but can't recollect the rear tread pattern.

I will upload a couple of scans of tire treads. I haven't heard many good comments on Coker tires for riders. Are you thinking show bike? I believe that Joe Weir got some tires from J.C. Whitney that he uses on his everyday rider. Maybe we can get him to weigh in.

Thanks Oilleak for the info. I will look at JCW for the tires. I prefer whitewalls. Different pics I see have them and some don't. Were the wide whitewalls stock? I seem to remember my buddy's 67 having them. Thanks again.

Has anyone else bought these tires? I am finding that they are not good on grooved roads I have roads that I wont go down now because the bike darts back and forth. Anyone else find a white wall that has a better tread?
Thanks
