Honda Cub

Post by honda carl » Sat Dec 06, 2014 8:41 pm

This is a long shot. I typically work on CA77s, but I'm hoping someone on this forum (many of whom are experts with old Hondas) can point me in the right direction.

I have a 1964 CA100 Cub 50cc that has the frame, engine and some other items, but is missing quite a few pieces including wheels, exhaust, etc. I found a 1967 C90 parts bike. The engine parts will certainly be different. Where can I go to find out if any parts on the C90 like wheels, handle bars, muffler and other body parts might interchange with the CA100? Thanks for any help or direction!

Carl

Carl, over in the Yahoo Groups called: Classic Pushrod Honda 50's
there are quite a few very knowledgeable and helpful people. I'd check in that forum as well.

Carl; the C90, or CM91 might appear the same as the C100, but you will find that everything is just a little larger. virtually nothing will interchange.
Good luck
Randy
BTW I have a couple c100 parts bikes, what do you need?

Thanks, Randy. I was concerned that there might be subtle differences between the two.

As far as what I need, I need quite a bit. That's why I was looking for a parts bike. I have the frame, front fork, swingarm, motor, carb and a few other items, and that's it. I need wheels, plastic, seat, handlebars, exhaust and probably some other items.

Carl; your best bet for rims, spoke sets, seat, exhaust, plastics is going to be from one of the ebay guys from overseas. you might try Tom Day at Apex as well.
Good luck
Randy
