Dunlop k82

Dunlop k82

I just changed my rear tire a heidenau k33 to a Dunlop k82 because the heidenau was worn, this also changed the bike behavior and not for the good.
When tipping the bike in for a corner the bike starts to get a bit wibely like is following the toothed profile cut out and weaves a bit ( the first grove from the center grove ), with the heidenau it was sure footed but now I hesitated to cut a corner.
I was wondering if somebody else had the same experience and had find a cure.

Some data
Front 2.75 k39 heidenau 2.2 bar
Rear 3.00 k82 dunlop 2.5 bar

And i was thinking a modern tire with vintage profile will be an improvement, strange tough.

Thinking about trying the Heidenau for my CA77.....how many miles (or KM) did you get on your rear K33 before wearing it out?

I've had Dunlop K82's on my bike for about 6 years (and over 20,000 miles), and have never experienced that problem at all. If anything, the Dunlops feel great -- much better than the Cheng Shins that many people put on their SuperHawks. So perhaps something else is going on besides the tire itself.

Stupid question, but is the tire mounted in the right direction?

Tires must be matched. If the front and rear profiles are not matched, the bike will handle strangely.

Wow!
That is even less than I got with my off brand Kings Tire rear. (approx 3,000 miles)
The matching front wear is very little at the same mileage.
Thanks for the info.
