Gear lever query

Post by modelman » Fri Oct 27, 2017 2:34 am

Whilst messing with my latest acquisition, & sitting on etc. I went to 'feel' the controls & found that my left foot was tight under the gear lever but thought no more about it.
Looking at the many pics of CA77s on Google I noticed that they all had the peg to be in line with the lower screw of the oil-filter plate, mine however is about 1.5 inches back, making it a bit tight.
Although a bit bent ( I will fix that ) & shabby, its NOT been broken or re-welded, & looking on the parts list, only 1 seems to have been fitted, ideas anyone??

Honda probably did only fit one type but that wouldn't stop someone else fitting what ever they could use. Just a guess on my part though.

Easy to see one is shorter than the other.
