Cracking open the cases

Post by DallasWise » Thu Feb 19, 2015 3:27 pm

I'm doing a complete restore on my 1965 CB77 and for the life of me I can't get the cases open to get to the transmission. (2nd gear is bad) Does anyone have any advice or tips I can try without damaging the cases? Thanks!

Don't forget the two nuts on the upper case that retain the bracket for the stamped steel cover that's under the carburetors. Regards, Chase

Thanks Chase! That got it! I didn't realize that held the cases together! Thought it was just for the valley cover bracket...

Thanks again!!!!!!
