I need a 6x103 case bolt

Post by apophis » Sat May 31, 2014 2:49 pm

the bad: broke a 6x103mm case bolt during reassembly.

The good: broke at the top and while the yamabond was wet. it broke before 5lb torque

some parts places have the 6x100mm, but no one seems to have the 103. 100 ok?

ordered the 6x100. all the microfiche has 92700-06100 replaces 92700-06103. I hope the missing 3mm is not an issue

8mm steel ball?

Post by apophis » Sun Jul 13, 2014 12:39 pm

I have not had time to work on the transmission for over a month due to a surgery and having to order a broken case stud. I just got the cases base together, put on the magneto and starter and as I picked up the 2 starter covers, one of them had a 8mm steel ball in it. It was greasy like its a ball bearing.

I have 5 bikes and lots of parts so this might be an unrelated part that bounced from elsewhere, but I dont recall it from anything I know. I thought I would ask before continuing since the engine is still out of the bike and I havent started on the clutch side.

I do not see on the tranny/clutch microfiche where there is a steel ball. any thoughts?

It fits in the clutch lifter and bears on the end of the pushrod.....
