Or can be pulled in to start the bike in gear. Most modern bikes are able to start like that.

Last week a feller (I won't say who) called and told me his clutch was bad cause when he pulled the lever he wasn't able to kick start the engine.
I explained the system to him and then here comes another with the same syndrome.
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. ...........lm

And when I grew up we were taught to lift the clutch to break the plates free before we start a bike. It's a sign of the era we grew up in.
