Yes. As long as they fit the brooves. Some of the leter disc were thicker and the wires wouldn't fit the groove. .........LM

Are the metal clutch disks still available? One side seems to be more flat then the other,Also, can they warp? I have posted on my sticky clutch before but why it sticks does not make sense, other than old parts. It will stick when sittting overnight and I have to rev it up for a a minute for the disks to pop free. Shifts good otherwise. I have two engines that do this.I cleaned them both. I have not tried running it without the wires in clutch. What is the main purpose of these wires? Can it be possible it is not getting the proper amount of oil on it?

I tried 30w and 10w-30 valv. I stopped at a honda dealer and bought some honda motorcycle oil but have yet to put it in. That oil is 10w-30. They said it is different than standard motor oil. I had this problem since putting this bike on the road and no one that I talked to yet said the oil could be the problem.Should I tear the clutch apart and clean it before putting this other Honda oil in it?

Shouldn't hurt to use the new oil. I ask cause you say both of your engines have this problem so I became suspect of the oil. I personaly use 30W Non Detergent (NAPA) oil in my engines cause that's what I used back in the early 60's and it worked good then and now. The aluminum friction dics are available from Honda and cost around $22.00+- each. They are all I install in the engines I rebuild for folks. .........LM

Mouse do you have the part numbers for the fiber and metal disks for the clutch and also the o-ring in the end of the shaft where the clutch push rod comes out. Is there a standard size I can just go get at the hardware?

Also, are the metal disks supposed to have a flatter surface on one side and more of a slightly curved surface on the other? Could you post a pict. of a new one.? thanks
