After market rims+spokes

Post by Bert96 » Fri Jul 27, 2018 3:44 am

Hi,

I bought a cb 77 1965 last years and now i would like to rebuild it.I'm not at my first rebuild,i've done my cb750 k4 and s65. I would like to buy new rims and spokes. I don't want to make a show quality so,i'm not looking for DID only rims. For my cb750 i bought rims and spokes from Buchanan and for my S65 i bought rims and spokes from ebay, but i read that is not as easy to find the correct angle holes rims and the good spokes for these cb77...
Siriusconinc have rims and spokes...are they good?
Where is the best place to buy aftermarket rims and spokes ?

Thank you

Bert

Buchanan is probably your safest bet but David Silver was selling some original-looking DID rims recently.

What do you think?
This rim is significantly wider than the original rim which has a width of 1.85". I think it unlikely there is enough room for a tire on this rim. I do know from experience that a 3.25-18 tire on the stock rim is a tight fit.

Also, the angles of the rim's spoke holes may not be correct for the CB77. They depend mostly upon the diameter of the hub at its spoke holes.

No. Too wide with probably different spoke angles.
