Dunstall mufflers
Dunstall mufflersThought I'd post pics of the Emgo Dunstall mufflers I just installed. One of our fellow members who has dial up only had asked me to let him know how it went, and I thought it would be much easier for him if I posted the pics here. Perhaps others also. I slipped the mufflers (without the reducers) into place and held them there while marking the new hole location, through the mounting hole, with a sharpie pen ( and I did this more than once just to be safe.) A bracket with 2 bolts in the muffler and which then bolted to the lower, angled muffler mount would be much more desirable. I also found that the right side header was bent slightly (probably as a result of the same incident that bent the original right side muffler slightly.) I re-aligned it in approved Hoosier fashion by bolting the header firmly in place, placing the muffler on the header, and applying a scientifically calculated amount of force to the aforementioned muffler. At any rate, they are on, and sound better than the open headers. Now I can hear the cam chain rattling.

muffler clearanceScott: yes the centerstand does clear, and just barely. It actually worked out pretty well. I have a rubber bumper on the centerstand (I think) and that makes the difference. By the way, your bike is looking really nice !

Dunstall (Emgo) mufflersBrent: Really enjoyed talking to you and seeing you bike at the Gilmore show. I think you would like these mufflers. For the price, I dont think they can be beat. They look good ( well, so far they look good.) and the price is right. They sound pretty good (not great, but actually not bad either.) They were easy to install.
Did you get the other issue you had posted (charging or something) sorted out ? Mike "a free motorcycle is a bottomless hole intended solely for money"
