CL77 Front Fork Rebuild Help
CL77 Front Fork Rebuild HelpHello everyone. I've searched for this answer unsuccessfully on the forum. Can someone suggest a tool I can use to remove (and re-install) the flat retainer seal so I can get at the guts inside the lower fork case? There are two holes at the top of the retainer which I assume are meant for some sort of pin spanner. I really don't want to use the chisel and hammer method to work it free. Motion pro makes a tool that might work???

Re: CL77 Front Fork Rebuild HelpI don't use a chisle.
I use a small punch that fits in the hole and tap it around. Not To Worry. .................lm
Re: CL77 Front Fork Rebuild HelpLike LM I have used a round punch with a blunt end.
I also made my own pin wrench from bar and a couple of suitably sized pins brazed in. G

Probably too late for you but I used a strap wrench. Came off easily without heating or other persuasion.
