Would be nice were ya ta add your city to your profile.
When ya join the forum ya see simple things as location and other info which helps we members to get a good idea of ya.
Take the time ta look at my profile and ya may get the idea.
Now ya say they can't be rebuilt again.
Any particular reason?
Do ya have any idea how much others may cost ya and they may not be any better than yours?. ........lm

Needs Carbs

Post by Mad Dog MIke » Fri Sep 09, 2011 7:41 pm

Keihin PE26 can be bought for about 88.00 each to around 133.00 each from places that do scooter work, or like Sudco...then you have to add the smallest carb to head flanges, which measure 50 mm bolt hole to bolt hole..but you still have the problem that no one makes right hand and left hand replacement carbs...Mikuni can also be mixed in here too.as they have a 26mm carb....but am not sure what all you have to change/// carbs are rebuilt and will not stay in sync with air/idle settings..and are fouling the plugs//plus beaucoup gas out of over flow tubing..bike does run

Thanks for your location.
I do carb rebuilds and engine rebuilds and have several members of the list who have them and no problems.
If ya would like I will go through your carbs and make them usable if they are not destroyed.
If interested I'll PM ya with the costs.
Have ya tuned your engine in the manner described to the left/yellow/FAQ then 5 down "How I Tune My Engine".
It works. ..............lm

Carbs''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

Post by Mad Dog MIke » Fri Sep 09, 2011 9:23 pm

I am to call an old buddy..he and I worked together for several years...I did parts..he did repairs..and I am a self-trained shadetree mech..ha ha...and yes I have the bike in tune, as I grew up with these bikes in the 60's..and love the dual points...floats are correct, needles ok, slides open together..but whomever did the last repair..did something bad...will advise when I get ahold of the Roar,,,,,so give me some time..but will keep this info at hand...that is why I joined..I also own 2 HD's so am always working on something...plus my 82 XR500..all tricked out with White Bros stuff..
