Need to make one good CL72 petcockNeed to make one good CL72 petcockI have one complete CL72 petcock and another one that is complete minus the two brass outlet barbs where you would attach the fuel hose running to the carbs. The body of the complete petcock is corroded badly and the brass tube that extends into the tank has a crack in it. I want to use the other petcock body when rebuilding but it doesn't have the brass barbs/connectors. Are these something that can be purchased and pressed/glued into place? I'm not sure why they would have been removed from this petcock that is in otherwise good condition.
Re: Need to make one good CL72 petcockYou can get the brass tube on eBay or from a model-making shop. As fro teh barbs you may have to get some made.
You would have to do some research on fuel-proof glue if you are going to glue the parts in. Probably beter to go for a press fit if you can. G
