Yep, thanks Davo, learning the quirks is what I'm trying to do. I'll have a look at the point gap. Could be the points for the left side are closing out since they're new, that would explain the poor idle response. My 90 acted the same way when the point gap started to close, doesn't idle well below a certain rpm, especially when cold. Hell, points you have to adjust at least every 1,500 miles anyway, right?

Andy,

Make sure you follow Ed's tune up recipie to the "T". Don't just start messing with points gap. You can come up, and we'll go through it together, so you learn by example the proper way to do it.

Hahaha, ya, that would be classic newbie mistake, eh? I've set the timing on my 90, as well as on mopeds (ya ya, I'm not ashamed to admit it). Mopeds are actually harder to time than the 90, they're far more poorly designed.

I could probably figure it out on my own, but I've been planning to ride it up over the bridge through your area there soon enough anyways, it would be cool to stop by and have you show me. Thanks Davo.

A word of advice Andy..... don't miss the opportunity to learn from Davomoto, I wish I could be a "fly on the wall" for that session.

Heck, Im planning on stopping by Davo's toooooooo lol. That would just give me an excuse to ride my bike! Davo, you could look at my clutch, and odd sound in my brake area! Oh, did I just invite myself to a free mechanic's special???? lol. (kidding) Im just glad it hasn't started raining yet. Ive been out riding my bike almost every single day after work. It's funny, for mental therapy ive went from the gym and wine, to riding (all the time). I sure hope my jeans don't don't start protesting!

Kellie,

You and Bruce are welcome anytime! I may just put him to work though, after seeing the wonderful job he did with your bike!
