OK...so the oxide ate a hole in my carb....either way its toast...LOL

Sorry to hear about that.

It's not aluminum, though; it's zinc. If it was aluminum it wouldn't have corroded half as bad as what you see. I have a Holley on my Mustang that looked similar when I got it, but luckily a rebuild and thorough cleaning revived it.
