Just restored a '67 CL 77
Have a question. Why is the carb float bowel drain plug cross drilled?

Re: 1967 cl77Hi
Wlecone to the Forum! I think it is cross drilled so that you don't have to take the screw completey out to drain the carb. G

If you ever drop the drain plug out of the LHS carb on your CL77 you'll be glad that they are made that way.
thanks!thanks , I appreciate the feedback. Both cross drills were completely gummed up so I cleaned them out. Now to see if they leak. might need new gaskets, these are only 52 yr old. Ha HA
I am lovin this 67. It was my first bike in 1967 and Ive been collecting parts and fiddling with it for 10 years. Now its a ground up full restoration. All parts are OEM except battery, tires, and vinyl on the seat cover. Carbs were Ultrasounded but I guess these drain plugs didnt get cleaned out. Appreciate your feed back and glad I found this site, "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" thanks.
