Carb fuel inlet

Post by ramwing7 » Sat Oct 15, 2016 9:54 am

I found out, the hard way, that some previous owner of a CL77 that I'm restoring was far beyond a bit heavy handed.
When I removed the fuel inlet bolt, the threads in the carb came out with it.

Now I'm stuck with trying to find a used replacement or repairing what I have.
Thought about a Heli-coil, but the metal seems a bit brittle for that.

Does anybody have any other suggestions, or better yet, a used upper part of the right side carb you'd like to part with?

Thanks.
