Removing CA77 Petcock

Post by irvan » Mon Oct 15, 2007 11:17 am

I read the earlier post about the 3 screws that need to be removed but after taking bowl off I don't see any screws. If some one could tell me next step I would appreciate it. (if they are under something I need to know how/what to remove) I have the mechanical aptitude of an acorn and really don't want to mess something up. Thanks.

After you remove the bowl you will need to remove the bowl seal and the screen, the screws are under the screen.

thank you. it came off easily, cleaned the screen. removed the chunks of nasty old fuel filter from the holes and put it back on. hope to have carb all cleaned and back on this week so can ride it. thanks again.

Man you're lucky! I destroyed two screw getting mine off, never could find replacements. Having to tap out to "normal" metric threading.
