I confirm (confess?) that I am still using XR-200 carbs on my CB-77.
I have proper carbs, but am short of time to prepare and install them;
I would rather ride than repair, but will eventually get the right carbs on.
I do not know if one carb would adequately serve a CA-77,
but it might make the motorcycle run, an important achievement.
These carbs let my Super Hawk go as fast as I want it to go, about 80 indicated.
I have a small shim under the tank to prevent the tank from touching the left carb.
It's a nuisance to adjust the two chokes individually, but occasionally I am glad
I can run one at full choke and the other at half choke for starting on chilly days.
Good luck!

Ready to go carbs??
I just installed these (XR200 carbs) on my CB77 and they bolt up with no problems. Took them out of the box and the bike runs better than ever. Paid $35 for both. At the price I was skeptical. No tuning necessary.
Make sure that when you install these or the stock carbs to be sure and have the o rings in place. They are on the insulators and the carbs. '66 CB77 '75 Rd125
