Thanks Graham,

I had seen those ones on David Silver's site, just wondered if anyone had fitted them as I have heard that some reproductions can give problems with rich running etc. Have you used them in any of your bikes?

Used them on my 400/4. Providing they don't leak, you should be fine.

Calling the float valve a needle valve is, or at least was common in the US, too. That's what I was told they were when my Dad taught me about engines when I was a kid. Although a needle valve is normally an adjustable valve used for fine tuning a flow. The low speed screw is a type of needle valve.
