You may want to check your bowl gaskets. I replaced mine with new gaskets that swelled by more than a 1/4" when exposed to the gas. My guess is the the gasket material absorbed Ethonal that is most likely in the gas. The gasket expanded so much that it held the floats open on one carb and closed on the other. I'm new to this forum so I'm not sure if this has been discussed before. I thought I may start a new thread with pics of the expand gasket.

We run Cb77 carbs on one of our CB160 race bikes on street unleaded gas, and the slides haven't been sticky at all. We do get leaks from time to time and it's usually the bowl gasket gone hard or slightly out of place hanging a float up in the air.
