Won't stop stalling

Post by jakestoltz » Thu Aug 11, 2011 3:17 pm

Hey guys,

I have a 66 CB160 that won't stop stalling. I cleaned the carbs and put carb cleaner in the tank. Any suggestions? It will stall after about an hour and a half of riding.

When it stalls, crack the gas cap on the tank and listen for a woosh. This vaccume is preventing fuel from draining to the carbs.

The fix: soak the cap in lacqure thinner overnight then blow it out with an air compressor. There is a tiny vent hole in the outer ring that gets pluged with old gas and/or rust and corrosion.
