Last option, really Yes, "C" is a flanged spacer. Sounds like it's rusted to your axle. You might try grabbing it with a pair of vise grips and rotating it against the axle to try and free it up. You are probably going to need a new axle at the very least, so cutting is likely a good option as well. Yeah, I think cutt...
By the way, by the looks of arrow "A" I'd say your pounding has started to spread the swingarm. This is not good because the two sides become misaligned causing further binding. I was afraid of that. Not having taken one of these apart though, I wasn't sure if that was normal or not... I'll start t...
Re: Two weeks later... YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's installed from the wrong side. Once again "THAT SAID" use vise grip pliers on the SPACER then turn/twist that axle. I've attached two files of the right hand side. I'm banging on the left hand side trying to get the axle out, and its almost acting like there's some ...
What's the trick for the rear axle?!?Hi all, Tried taking the rear wheel off my 67 CL77 last night. I've read two manual entries and both of them say the same thing: "remove the cotter pin and rear axle nut" and then glibly state "Slide out the rear axle." Yeah... not in THIS lifetime. Having never taken one of these babies apart, I'm ...
