Bob,

Just curious...what is the status of your mufflers? Are they good as-is, need to be repaired or replaced? I am busy researching alternartives myself. I'm even considering buying tooling to reproduce these early mufflers at a reasonable cost if there would be enough market to do so!

Watchwait, I'm powder coating my CL77 frame and associated parts. The company I work for does this so I can get it done for free. The main benefit of PC versus wet paint is that powder coating is thicker, usually 3-4 mils versus 1.5-2.5 mils for wet paint. It is applied using an electro static char...

Powdercoating?

Has anyone used powdercoating in lieu of spray painting in their restoration? If so what are the pros and cons of each method (other than cost)? Also, is there a standard color for the CA77 white than might be available in a powdercoat? I will not do the job myself as there are many excellent powder...

Dream Rebuild Resource Group?

This Friday, my new/old 1968 CA77 arrives after a long trip from FL to CA. I am going to attempt a "frame-off" restoration, even though I only have a vague clue of what that really means. Though I've worked on cycles before, this will be my first attempt at a restoration of this...scale. In doing so...
