Re: CA77 1965 PW22 Re-jetting for sea level

I live at sea level but not far from the Pyrenees with passes up to 6500 feet and if every time I went into the mountains with a carburettor motorcycle I had to dismantle the carburettor, it would be hell..... because we pass several passes and go back down into the valleys several times a day. I'm ...

Re: How to tighten FLywheel Dynamo Nut and Torque SPec

The Shop Manuals don't quote a torque figure for the bolt, tighten without exaggeration (around 12 - 15 ft lbs ?) There are two ways of locking the rotor: if dismantled, secure with a strap. If not disassembled, the solution is to put it in gear and using the rear brake, which will lock the rotor su...

Re: Kick start bushing

We weren't talking about the same part, so it's not the 17.
My problem is always the same: translating highly technical terms into French, and I sometimes find it hard to fully understand what you're talking about.
Where's this one in the engine that I don't die a fool?

Re: Kick start bushing

Re: CB77 cylinder compression

If your measurements are different from the first time, you may have taken the wrong compressions, or your equipment may be unreliable. To be optimum, compression should be done with the engine warm and the throttle open to allow air to enter the cylinders. If compression is low, you need to put a l...

Re: X crossing 2nd gear set and 3rd gear set.

I can't help much because I'm worried about the translation of "X crossing" (I'm French) and I can't figure out what it is or what the improvement you mention might mean.

Re: X crossing 2nd gear set and 3rd gear set.

I can't give a definitive answer to this modification question, but having replaced the rotary gearbox mechanism on my C72 with a CB77 mechanism, I can confirm that the gearboxes are identical and interchangeable between CA and CB. https://www.honda305.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=7643370&start=5...
