Ignition Retaining Nut

I just purchased a retaining nut for my CL77 and it did not fit. I had an NOS one that also wouldn't fit. Both were slightly under one inch inside diameter. Probably between 1/16 and 3/32 inches too small. The retainer on the bike is one threaded inch in outside diameter. My bike came without the re...

You are missing something! .................................................D
You're absolutely right! I never gave any thought to it being the first four. Oops! I'll have to pay more attention in the future. BTW, did you notice that Loud Mouse is back? Welcome back Ed.

Re: CL-77 "VIN" vs Engine numbers

I agree with D. Likely as not yours has had an engine replaced along the way. Seriously McConnell, You, yourself agreed that eight digits off probably meant it was the original engine. That's exactly what I said. Look at Rusty's quote again. It appears Rusty is saying the engine has likely been cha...

In the next sentence he says "if every thing else is right just buy it, implying that the numbers were not right. Then Rusty says the engi...

Re: Is Loud Mouse still around?

It took me about 30 seconds to find this on a 2016 post: "Please call me at 830-895-0654. .............lm"

Re: Is Loud Mouse still around?

Have you given any thought to calling him? Over the years he's listed his phone number numerous times to help different users. I imagine you could easily get his number through a quick search of his posts. He always seemed eager to help others and I'm sure he wouldn't be offended if you called.
