Replacing '64 Dream Clutch Plates

Hey guys, my first question is where would be a good place to buy clutch components for a '64 dream? I am looking to get new friction discs and clutch springs at the very least, but will also most likely replace some bolts and washers too. The ridges on my friction plates were all but worn down so I...

Yeah I adjusted it at the side cover. Where is that ball bearing at? Is it directly inside the actuator where the rod rests? because there is a circular indentation in the bottom of the actuator that doesnt have a ball in it and I'm thinking that is where it should be.
Thanks for the help!

305 Dream Clutch

Hello all, I have a 1964 CA78 Dream and after installing a new clutch cable on the bike I have found that the when I pull in the clutch lever the lever does not return to the unactivated position. My first thought was to replace the spring on the clutch actuator arm. Would there be any other reasons...

Are 305 CA78's Picky on What Exhaust You Run On Them?

I was thinking of running some modern 100-250 cc scooter mufflers on my ca78. Will that work? How picky are the engines on exhaust? I know I will at least have to rejet it.

Thanks for the help!

It is the threaded part where the flange keepers on are tightened onto by nuts. Right on the front of the block, the exhaust manifold. One of those stems where the flange keepers fit onto was broken.

Bolt Broke When Tightening Exhaust Flange Keepers

Hello, last night while I was tightening the flange keepers on the exhaust system of m CA78, one of the bolts coming out of the block snapped off. I am almost positive that there is not enough of the bolt left to safely bolt the flange keepers on. Is there anyway that I can fix this problem? Is ther...

Removing Kickstarter Housing

Right now I am working on removing the right side transmission cover on a 1964 CA78 so that I can replace the clutch cable. I have everything around the cover removed except for the kickstarter housing that protrudes past the cover and prevents it from coming off. Any idea how that comes off? I thin...
