Correct Silver PaintI am restoring a 1967 305 Scrambler and will be ready to paint soon. Can anyone tell me if the original paint color is still available and what it is? If it is no longer available, what is the closest alternative?
Thanks
CL77 FendersThanks again for your help. I actually prefer the painted fenders to the chrome. The only issue is I now need to find front and rear both to be correct. As for the 1967, that's good to know to as I really preferred a '67 since that's the first one I was taken for a ride on when I was about 10 years ...
CL77 FendersHey LM- Got the frame number for my 305. Frame #CL77-1043402 Engine #C_77E 1043438 The bike came with no front fender and a chrome rear fender. I thought it was odd that the rear would have been replaced which is what made me wonder if they were originally. Also, with the frame and engine number so ...
CL77 FendersThanks LM. As soon as I can get to where the bike is stored, I will get the frame number I will get back to you. I have always wondered if that's the way it was because I have seen them both ways and I want to restore it as correctly as possible. Thanks to you, too, Mike. I'll get back as soon as po...
CL77 FendersThanks linmictil2.
@LoudMouse-the bike is stored an hour from here and I don't know the numbers because I haven't touched it in close to 2 years. Getting the itch to get started restoring. Does the frame number make a difference as to fender type? i.e.-was there an option?
CL77 FendersI have a CL77 that I believe to be a 1966 based on serial numbers. It came with no front fender and a chrome rear fender. Most everything I have seen that is shown as a 1966 has painted silver fenders. Can anyone tell me what the correct fenders are for a '66-painted or chrome?
