I think the oillite bronze is a little on the brittle side for this application, it will bear quite a load but doesn't like any impact type shock like , and may be hard on the chain rollers, iam going to be checking out several bearing suppliers also grainger

Yes there are some all chrome ones out there, I was offered one along with hawk for $1100, here in washington, every thing that was metal was chromed, I mean every thing, I past on it cause the chrome was bad and to redo it would be a fortune, not to mention the damage plating can do Hydrogen embrit...

there is a ton of the none sand cast 1971 ups around, only an idiot would butcher it, could have pickup up later one for cheap and restore the 69 and made a bit of pocket change

I have to bore my CL-250, looks like its going to be 1mm over or more, if the prevouis bore wasn't done right, then more, how much over can i safely go and are there any ca or cl pistons in the 1mm and over, looking on e bay 1mm seems to be about it

test

leak down is for 4 strokes, tests valves and rings
,crank case pressure test is for 2 strokes checking for bad crank seals, they do the same thing but in a different way, it can find a problem that is about to happen that a compression test may not pick up

Dave it cl72 317517 shocks have eye on top clevis on the bottom, mph speedo,black and silver paint rear fender is like the one on ebay a semi wrap around

hmmmm, my 63 cl250 is the same as the one on ebay alloy forks small tail lite and the same rear fender, and there is a small turn lite and a two rotted rubber pegs that was in the box of parts, but has the larger brakes, maybe I shouldnt put the early forks and brakes I got off my spare rust bucket ...
